I loved how this totally changed the look of the Switch but it was very difficult to install. I think I had at least three hours into this mod as well as buying a tool kit specifically for repairing the Switch. The screw drivers given with this case kit aren’t very good and both mine ended up stripping the tips. Search Nintendoswitch.us.com for Nintendo Switch repair tools and spend the extra $10, it’s worth saving the frustration.

The buttons shown are not what comes with the housing. It’s one of the offerings made by eXtremeRate. The ones included are black. The housing fits great and if you follow one of the videos that can be found via search you shouldn’t have any issues with the install. The triggers are a little tricky to swap, but the kit includes replacement springs if you need them. I had no issues with the right joycon and the common “bulge” issue that many people mention and has been seen with some of the other replacement housings. The necessary tools are also included if you don’t have the correct y screwdriver available. It’s a great product at an affordable price, I’d definitely purchase another!
