In many ways it’s better, since unlike the Flip Cover for the Switch Lite, G-Story designed this case to act as a stand, which was a bad decision to leave out with Nintendo’s own case. G-Story’s Flip Cover case allows the switch to fit perfectly in your pocket without compromising the integrity of the joycon sticks, preventing them from drifting, which is great. I’ve tried out many cases for the original switch model, and I’m proud to make my original model the default model for portability, all thanks to this case. It’s a great value for what you get. And it’s very sturdy. It’s very easy to remove the system from the case without damaging the rail system.I highly recommend it.

   I am writing this review to inform that while the metal bracket holding the case together does not touch the top of the switch, it does does touch the plastic bezel surrouding the screen.

   This occurs at the edge of the bezel as it rounds off to meet the screen. The metal bracket connects to each part of the case on the insides, where more metal is present. This is the metal that touches the plastic and, while I cannot be 100 percent sure, I think the metal buttons rest on the screen.

   I am giving 3 stars because it this wasnt the issue the case would be near perfect, as it was what I was looking for. Sadly the metal hinge contacts the case. Also, I am not a fan of the teardrop shape bubbles, I wish they would have been normal raised circles like the official flip case for the switch lite.

   I bought this case for my switch lite, and when I saw it for the switch, I had to pick one up. The switch fits in the case easily and can be removed easily too. You can charge the switch while in the case and the cover not only makes for a shield to block the sun, but can be used as a stand as seen in the pictures. The cover stays in place is whatever position you put it in, unlike other rivals which have a floppy cover. And when you flip it all the way to the back, the switch is comfortable to hold.

   I’m surprised with how durable it is with how slim it is.The tear drop bumps for the joysticks are nice for extra breathing room. I didn’t know there were magnets to help keep the lid closed a bit more which was an unexpected plus.The sun visor already came in handy and didn’t have any wobble when playing.     The case itself is absolutely amazing! Easy to put on and off and does a great job if you wanna play outside, just tilt the top to wear there’s no glare and your good to go. Only complaint is the screen protector that came with it, no instructions on how to apply and confusing. But overall pretty happy with the purchase!

    Love this case. I’ve been looking for something similar to the Flip case for the Switch lite but they don’t make it for the original Switch. This case is that and even more! You can use it as a kickstand with a-lot of different angles, or you can use the top lid as a visor to block out the sun when outdoors! The case has spots that allow your joysticks some breathing room so they don’t get messed up if put into a bag. It’s also super slim. Overall I absolutely love this case!

    I was looking for an equivalent of the Switch Lite Flip case for the regular Switch. This is exactly what I was looking for. Case is very slim and the flip side is nice and rigid so it can be used as a sun screen (as pictured) or as a stand. Time will tell if the hinges will stay rigid but as of right now, I’m really happy with it.

    Great case if you are looking for something sleek and very protective at the same time. I typically am on the go for work and knowing I can carry this around with me, and knowing it won’t smash in bag has been a huge relief. Definitely worth every penny!     Edit:The case seems to no longer do what it is supposed to do. The hinges don’t hold it up and it just gets in the way. I had to switch out the case for a different flip cover case I found on Nintendoswitch.us.com. I took the review to 2 stars because it does hold shut. that’s it.I reached out for the “warranty” the seller claims but got a zero response. We will see if this changes over time.I had a slim Nintendo Switch for some time and I loved the flip cover case for it. I was wondering if such a thing existed for the original switch. Upon searching I came across the G-Story Flip protective case. This is a perfect complement to the switch if you take it on the go or just play in handheld mode.The top cover doubles as a kickstand, which is leagues better than the actual switch kickstand. The cover on top itself is slightly adjustable and can go into multiple angles. The hinges do the job required from it. It is a tight fit and tightly securing the Switch. It is an improvement on the Flip Cover for the Slim just in that regard too.If you have a Switch and you want a case/protective cover, this is the one to get. I recommend it as much as possible.

    I’ve been very happy with this case for the few weeks I’ve had it. It has a fabric exterior that feels really good, but I suspect will get marks from sweaty hands in time, but I love how thin it is and how well it packs when compared to my huge battery case. To be fair, I haven’t had the chance to run it through the ringer yet, and I’ll update this review if anything untoward happens, but for now I’m very pleased.
    I like that the unit is easy to get in and out of the case, unlike my larger case which needs a shoehorn to get it in or out (not really, but close).

    Honestly, I’ve always been I love with shell cases. Every since the PSP and PSVita had them, I wanted one for the Nintendo Switch System. I was very disappointed when Nintendo decided to partne rip and make a shell case for the Switch Lite but not for the regular size Switch. Right when I found this case I bought it. It’s slim, very comfortable to hold and did I mention is a shell case. It basically provides shade when you need it on your screen. Of course it does have the use for only travel or handheld because you can’t really dock the switch with the case on but regardless, it’s awesome. One downside to it is, that if you remove the joy-cons to play your switch on table-top mode, there is nothing holding down the main console (screen), but now in days we all have extra smaller controllers that are more comfortable to carry and use. So all in all. This case is really cool. Love the shell-case design, the rough texture, love gray color and how slim it is. Sure can’t carry other games in it, but who is switching between 5-10 games in a day? Trust me. This case is awesome!

    This is a great case that holds my switch. It also acts as a stand in case I don’t want to hold the switch when playing. The switch fits nicely snug into the case so no worry of it coming out.     The case itself is great to use as a stand, not so great to travel due to the lack of secure apparatus. The screen protector is NOT teper glass as stated on header, but it does state the accurate plastic protector on description. Read the fine print. Overall it makes my son happy
