   This cable does not work even when I use the Nintendo official USB C charger that comes with an Nintendo switch OLED 2021 model it will not do not recognize anything on my TV. I even tried it with my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra phone, and it was still would not detected signal at all. However, my phone did detect the cable but, it would not display in the image on the on this TV.

   I got this device specifically for use with the Nintendo Switch. I travel a decent amount, and had just decided to stop bringing the original dock with me, because it is too big and unnecessary. When I saw this, it was a no-brainer. It fits in my little Switch case, clearing up a good chunk of cubic space in my suitcase. The device is encased in metal (I’m guessing aluminum), and the cord is thick/sturdy.

   And it works just fine. You do need to plug the Switch power supply into this unit in order for it to work. The instructions unfortunately have a typo in them that says you could use it without the power supply, but the description here on Nintendoswitch.us.com is correct.

   I’ve also tried it on my Lenovo Chromebook Duet 3, and after changing some connected display settings, it looked great on the big screen TV. I tried it on my Google Pixel 6a, but could not get it to show up on the TV. I have no idea if that is because of the cable, or the phone, so I don’t think it justifies docking a full star. If I could, I’d give this a 4.5.

   This is compact and portable and perfect for taking the Nintendo Switch to other people’s houses. Unlike other official or third-party Switch docks, this just has the essentials to connect the Nintendo Switch to any TV or monitor and, while a more traditional dock may give a cleanse look, I really like this design more for on the go use because it is basically an HDMI cable with a USB C connector on the other end and an input for external power and, therefore, you do not need to take a bulky dock and a separate HDMI cable. Perfect for travelling light. Note, you do need a separate power adapter (45W minimum) and I use mine with a small 65W charger and USB C cable that I keep around in my backpack anyway to charge phones and laptops I have used this at grandma’s house, at home on an extra TV and with a LG 4K monitor (with built-in speakers) on my desk with no issues with sound, video or charging.Note, the power input is on the same side as the HDMI plug so if the TV is mounted high, you may need a long USB C power cable or an extension cord.

It would also be very handy when going to someone’s house who doesn’t have an existing Switch dock.Note: you also need a 45W USB-C power brick to make everything work.the only reason for 4 stars is I think it should have come with a case or carry bag.

   I wanted to plug my Switch in to a projector for a party. As you know, the Switch has only one port, the USB-C. If I wanted to hook it up to a projector, I’d need to use that for a USB to HDMI cable, which means running on battery. The alternative is taking the whole base station out of the entertainment center, which is a pain.This item let’s you hook it up to HDMI and also power it at the same time! It says to use the original Switch plug, and maybe you should, but I used a standard fast charging phone plug, it worked fine. No battery loss after 7 boys played on it for a few hours!

   This was exactly what I needed! Small enough to fit into my switch case but long enough to connect from far away. One thing is it doesn’t come with a USB C cable, so make sure to use your own — also make sure it’s LONG, because you need to be able to connect from the HDMI port of your TV to the nearest outlet. Sound, picture, everything is perfect. This is going to change my vacations!!

    So it’s a plug and play device, nothing too difficult or complicated. Plug one end into the switch. Plug the HDMI cable into the adapter and the TV/projector and then plug in the power cord that came with the switch and it will work.

    This little cable is exactly what I’ve been looking for to use with my Nintendo Switch! It’s a nice, compact cable that reaches behind the TV and plugs directly into the HDMI port of your TV. The part that plugs in fits snugly, and is sized well and can fit directly next to another HDMI port that is in use, not blocking it. The cable is long enough to have my Switch sitting on the table or stand below the TV with plenty of extra slack. Due to the limitations of the switch you’ll either need the original charging adapter that came with your Switch or a very powerful non-Nintendo charger – this will plug directly into the HDMI plug which may clutter the back of your TV and may also cause some issues with finding an outlet close enough to where you need it, so be aware of that.Overall, this little cable is going to live in my suitcase so I can take it with me anytime that I travel. It’s dead-simple to use, and works perfectly!

    I got this cable for my Samsung S22 Ultra (don’t have the Switch yet) and works like charm, once is plug in my TV / Monitor screen goes straight to DEX Mode, cable is super portable with the ability to charge your device at the same time your using it for screen mirroring.cable is perfect for traveling, that way you don’t have to carry a Docking station + HDMI cable + USB Charging Cable and Charger, In this case you leave that docking station begin and go with just the cables and save that space for something else.my only concern is cable durability sturdiness, but time will tell.

    This cable is a great replacement for the OEM Nintendo Dock for those wanting to travel with their switch. There are a few things you will need to remember:- You will need a 45-Watt PD charger and a USB-C cable to charge your Switch while gaming with this cable.- Using this cable takes up the USB-C port on the switch, meaning that you will not be able to use other USB devices while this cable is in use. Using a USB-C hub would not permit you to charge the Switch.- Like others have noted, it would be nice if you could have the charging USB-C cord on either end of this cable, for situations where you do not have power plugs available where the TV is. With this unit, the only choice is USB-C PD 45-Watt power at the HDMI connector.I hope this review helps you make an informed purchasing decision!
