   So far this has worked well for an inexpensive 2nd Nintendo Switch dock. I’m not sure why they sell this as just the dock with no cables though. Doesn’t make a lot of sense, I would much rather they charge a little more and give you everything you need rather than having to hunt down the cable package they sell separately.

   That annoying fact aside, the dock is a nice backup for travel or maybe for a 2nd TV in the household so you can move your Switch around with ease.

   I received this packed nicely in a durable zip lock bag. Inside was the box for the dock which was also Inside a blue carrying bag for travel. They also included 4 free joycon covers. Everything is pictured for reference. I was surprised how small it was. For reference you can see the dock itself next to the pack of joycon covers they sent. The dimensions are 2.25 in. tall by 3.25 in. deep by 2.5 in. wide. Very easy for travel storage. I tested it with a Nintendo Switch OLED model and it worked perfectly. There is a power button on the dock which controls the TV mode and the fan. Double click the button for fan function on/off, or single click to toggle video mode from the TV to the switch. This is nice also because it can also be used as a simple charging stand, which still allows you to play on the switch screen if a TV is not available while also charging the switch. It is made of very lightweight plastic. Comes with instructions and warranty/ troubleshooting information. I was not able to test the USB ports to see if wired controller support would work, but if I get a chance I will update. So far, seems like a good product.

   Very small and lightweight. For the price I was worried about functionality but it set up very easily and worked perfectly right away. Saves space and makes it easy to be able to use the Switch on multiple tvs in your house without have to move and rewire the whole base. Would also travel well as it’s so much smaller than the standard base. Also came with a cute free gift of joy con stick covers!!!

   Dock works pretty well for its size. I do really like the lack of a front panel, so the switch screen can’t develop scratches or marks from being constantly put in and out. It holds the device securely and I didn’t have any issues with inserting the device. The button to switch the output from the display to the TV and back again worked well. It means you can either keep playing on the small screen while charging to keep it propped up, since it would otherwise be impossible with the charging port on the bottom of the device. You can also press the button again to actually use it as a dock, which lets it project to your TV. The USB ports on the device work correctly and have data pins. I was able to use a 8BitDo wireless adapter to connect my PS5 controller no problem. The HDMI button I discussed earlier doesn’t turn off these USB ports, which is perfect because it allows you to use external controllers both ways. There is a cooling fan, but I never heard it while playing which is a good sign.Overall, device has been great for the price, it feels thoughtfully constructed with some features that were well thought out by people that have at least tested it on the device. Included a few free controller thumbstick caps as well, which was a nice touch. I would highly reecommend.

   Update: included cord seems to work now, not sure what did it, I did do a hard reset after it was stuck in sleep mode after having charged it with included cord, so maybe issue was with the the switch. Bumping it up to 4 stars

    This dock has all the necessary ports and plugs for connecting to a TV. I had to use my own wires and Nintendo charger, which was fine since I already had my own. It is very small and easy for traveling compared to the dock that comes with the switch. It’s convenient to be able to play the switch on multiple TVs and easily disconnect for traveling. I already had an adapter similar to this one, but this one is more compact, came in a nice velvet pouch, with some bonus joy con caps which was nice touch. This adapter also has a fan built in to cool the Nintendo from overheating, which it does often.

    I got this dock so I can use my switch in a different room. I’m sure you’ve been there that you try to use the biggest TV in the house and then you get kicked out because someone has to watch Real Housewives, so you grab your switch and play in handheld mode. Not anymore. Hook this up to your second largest TV and you can move over to that one when you get kicked off the first!Love the packaging on this product and love that it came with some extras! So far, everything has worked fine, played 10+ hours and noticed no issues with the dock, the video or audio. I dont know how much cooler the switch is being kept due to the fan running… but I assume it runs cooler than the official dock, which makes this at least equal or better.
