   5/22/2019If you plan on using this for Nintendo online classic games; don’t even think of buying it. It won’t work.I have not tried all my switch games yet, but I am surprised the wired controller won’t work with Nintendo online classic games! The controller works with at home page, Tectrix 99, and Lego Harry Potter that I tried. Will try all the games later and see if only certain games or hit or miss. Or maybe some of the same simply don’t support wired controllers. That I don’t know.On the other hand, if you don’t have Nintendo online classic games, you might want to consider this one. The controller has the Nerf feel, nice thin foam and comfortable grip. After planning for about an hour, no sweat from the hand or palm, which is nice. Also, even the controller is heavier than the wireless one come with the console; I don’t feel the weight at all, which is nice.So, if you have Nintendo switch online account and plan on using this control, I won’t recommend it. However, for other games, you would like this controller.

   I think PowerA has been successfully deliver Nintendo Switch over and over again. The PowerA NERF wired controller, in term of gaming experience, is the same as any other PowerA wired controllers, that the best third party experience controllers I had, the different for this one is, a little heavier and more comfortable to grab on, because of the soft NERF padding on the back. But how long will that smooth padding thing last, I don’t know, I am not a big fan of NERF, but they are using the same material, so maybe the NERF fans who has experience with their product will know better than me on that, so I am not rating the longevity of the padding.Very responsive, the cable it comes with is about 10ft, a very reasonable length. Over all, very nice experience.With all the good things, I have to take out one star for a good reason—value to the dollars. Most of the PowerA wired controllers are $25 MSRP, this one is $10 extra. At the time of reviewing this controller, the original NS Pro Controller, which is first party, wireless, Built-in gyro and NFC, is selling at $40, it’s no brainer to pay additional $5. Even if the Pro is not on sell, $10 just for the NERF brand is hard to accept unless you are a NERF fan.

   I’ve had this controller for about 3 months now and it’s been pretty good. I’ve gotten good use out of it and it’s very comfortable. The Nerf foam on the back makes it super good to use for extended play sessions as well. Inputs come out very quick and responsive. However, recently my left analog stick has beed slightly drifting to the left and the nerf foam has begun to deteriorate. I wouldn’t recommend using this controller extensively.

   La calidad es buena, no sé si en todos los controles alambricos sea la norma, me gustaría pensar que sí puesto que todos están licenciados por Nintendo. Personalmente me gustó el juego de colores, los botones se sienten quizás un poco rígidos, los gatillos ejecutan de forma perfecta. La porción posterior del control está recubierta por el material característico de los productos de Nerf que en realidad no provee nada extra pero da un buen soporte y agarre. La largura del cable es significativa seguramente será suficiente para tenerlo en tu sala sin necesidad de tener que acercarte a la pantalla. El peso del control lo persivo muy ligero, no cansa tenerlo sobre las manos.

   Me parece un buen control y creo que más allá de la calidad que me imagino se mantiene homogénea entre los diferentes controles licenciados por Nintendo el punto clave es el precio y el agarrarlo o no en oferta. Mi recomendación sería obtenerlo sí estás buscando un control alámbrico y esperar a qué alguno esté más barato.

   The controller plays just like any other wired controller for Nintendo Switch except for one thing. Rather than plastic, the back of the controller is covered in a foam similar to nerf darts. While at first it may feel odd, it is easy to get used to and gets very comfortable after some use. It is a great controller and worth a shot.

   Having owned several PowerA controllers in the past, I’ve come to expect a good quality product at an affordable price. This Nerf wired controller for the Nintendo Switch is no exemption. Overall build quality is excellent. Comes in a nice and very “Nerfy” like color combination of white/orange/navy blue. Inside the box you’ll find the controller, a nice 10ft cable (9.8ft), and the user manual. The cable seems very sturdy and has a Velcro wrap included for storing it neatly. The controller itself is very comfortable, in part due to the back having an orange colored foam layer, which also serves as cushion to absorb some amount of impact if the controller happens to fall to the ground. Functions as expected with no noticeable input lag. One thing to note is that it’s a bit larger than other PowerA controllers like the Zelda BOTW Edition (pictured for reference). All in all I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for an affordable, well built, wired controller for their Nintendo Switch.

    This product delivers as promised. I am a casual gamer, so I admittedly don’t have a wide knowledge of various remotes to compare this product to. However, I have owned a switch for a year and am accustomed to playing with the joycons that came with the system.What I like most about this remote is the overall size and feel. I was glad to see this has a 10 ft cord since it’s not wireless. This remote initially felt bulky after moving from the joycons, but I quickly got accustomed to the size. I noticed I don’t have any hand fatigue when playing for more than an hour thanks to the size and comfort grip. The nerf backing provides a soft but firm grip. I never thought Nerf would partner with a video game product, but it’s a match made in heaven.The performance of the remote feels the same as my joycons. No noticeable difference.While I am enjoying the product now, I am going to update this review if I do experience the dreaded “drifting.” The reason I got this remote is because my previous joycons started drifting with about 6 months use. This is a known issue with these remotes, which is disappointing considering the price.I’ll be sure to provide an update if I experience any product defects.

    One of the comfiest controllers ive used however after about a month the left control stick started to over sensitize and move after the stick returns to neutral wich makes it nearly impossible for microspacing or other subtle movements

    This wired controller is good to have for backup when your batteries are all out on your other controllers.
    The 10 USB cable should be long enough to get you to your seat from the Switch location. It just reaches the couch from the entertainment table for my setup.
    The controller is good. I do like the Nerf backside grip. It is soft and makes holding the controller more comfortable. I often squeeze the grips harder when playing and I can notice that I do it with the soft back.
    The nerf layer is not that thick. It is probably about 1/8″ total. It is really just right for me. If it were thicker I don’t think I would like it as much.
    Good layout and responsiveness. Buttons have good feel and feedback.

    Very comfortable, my favorite part would prbly be the size of the controller, it’s almost identical in size to Xbox 1 and ps4 controllers, I’d say this is more geared toward adult size hands.The joysticks have a much broader range of motion than the oem joycon controllers, this is a VERY nice upgrade, my only real complaint is that it’s not wireless, but that’s not really thst big of a deal given the long cable that’s included.The back of the controller is a very nice nerf rubberized foamThe front is a matte white that will no doubt get dirty easily, but it is easy to clean.This is now my preferred controller for playing the switch.     The PowerA Wired Controller for Nintendo Switch is great for gamers with larger hands who cannot get a good grip on the Nintendo Switch controller – it is also great for old-school gamers like myself, who just can’t unwrap my mind from the old-school style controller. It makes it so much easier for me to play since I can use the controller I am used to, with the switch system.

    It comes with a 10 foot cable which is AWESOME because it IS WIRED and you need some distance from your TV if that is how you are playing.

    I also love the NERF material on the back that lets me grip the controller better and hold on tight.

    I would absolutely recommend this controller without any reservations to someone looking to use a pro-type controller on a Nintendo Switch! Thank you!!!
