These are the absolute worst to install, and I would never recommend anyone try. I work as an IT director for a living, and wont even be installing the second shell. They are 100% not worth the time and effort to install. It is a very difficult and complex task, and is made light by people trying to sell more shells.

I’ll start off by saying I love how these turned out. Whichever color shell you pick will be custom and very personalized to you which is great. That being said, whatever mold Basstop uses for these, it leaves a gap in between the front and back parts of the shell which can be annoying to some people. There is a fix online on Reddit which involves filing the plastic bits but I didn’t want to run the risk of ruining it. The Dpad paint markings wear off extremely quickly like in a week or so of normal use however the actual shell itself however is good, I’ve dropped them a couple times and they held up really well. If you’re looking for a fun weekend project than this is definitely something for you!

Really nice quality and worked out well. I did not even have to sand down and or smooth any pieces. Followed the instructions that came with this kit on how to change out the shells and it helped a lot, along side some other youtube videos.

They look great and the d pad feels decent. I got 3 different ones. One with the d pad. Just be cautious when moving the parts. I did lose one right joy con because I wasn’t paying attention. I do wish that the standard casings had the colored SR SL buttons like the one I got with D pads but I’m overall happy
