With this dock, both of them can charge their Joycons at the same time! It works well, and has a digital indicator of when the Joycons are fully charged. It was super easy to set up, basically just plug and play. It does not come with a power block, so you’ll need a separate one.

Having two kids who like to play Switch games intermittently and know which controllers are charged, especially for Switch Sports (almost said Wii Sports there), can be a challenge. Someone always gets the Joycon without any charge.This four-way charger promises to charge all those joycons at once. So, does it live up to the promise? Maybe? Kind of? Let me explain.When all the controllers are situated and seated correctly, they charge, and the LED indicators seem to work, indicating charging (red) and charging (green). When a charger is incorrectly seated, it is charged (green). Wiggle the controller, and the lamp turns red, indicating charging.I am still trying to understand if the indicator lights are just temperamental and if the controllers still charge correctly. One of the other reviewers indicated that there is a right and wrong way to put in the controllers, and I didn’t find that, as each controller seemed to work in any of the slots, but some were more prone to the seating issue mentioned previously. This charger works and charges quickly. It’s not very easy to slide the controllers in and out and since my kids are the ones that use it, that has been a problem. It actually snapped off a piece of the back of one of our controllers. I just read through the other reviews and it looks like we aren’t the only one that had this problem. I ended up getting another charging station for them that is much more user friendly.

This joycon charger works really well, but sometimes it’s a little difficult to get the joycons to sit in the slot properly. It doesn’t have the full rail to slide the joy con into like the side of a switch or other chargers, so it sometimes takes a couple of times to get them to sit right. Once they are in though, they charge great. For a low cost joycon charger, it’s pretty good.

This charger had no issues fully charging my joycons. I also like that it is so small and compact! This will be easy to take with me when traveling.However, my favorite feature of this charger is something that is seemingly a little more mundane at a glance, for those not familiar with the issue. I’ve used no less than three other joycon chargers previously, including an officially licensed one, but they all had an unusual, consistent quirk: once the joycons were fully charged, they wouldn’t re-charge the joycons if their charge level dropped over time for any reason (And joycons discharge very quickly when not being actively charged, even when not in use. An unused joycon loses a full charge in approximately two weeks, in my experience).This one seems to actually address that, and it was the first thing I tested for! Once the lights turn green indicating a full charge, if I started doing something that will cause them to actively lose charge without actually removing them from the charger (like turn them on and start pressing buttons shortly after they reached their full charge), the light switches back to red and it starts charging again until it goes back to green. So it seems to detect when the charge level of the controller has noticeably dropped, and acts accordingly! This is a first for a joycon charger, in my personal experience, and is very much appreciated. That makes this charger #1 in my book, and it will be my new primary charging unit!One thing that could use improvement is the left and right joycons can only go into specific grooves marked as L or R (two slots for left, two slots for right), but it’s pretty hard to see those letters without good lighting and from a close distance. I might add some stickers onto it so the slots are easier to identify.

This dock is a great way to charge 2 sets of Switch controllers quickly. This is ideal if you have at least 3 sets, considering 1 can be charged via the Switch while playing or when docked. I recommend it because there is nothing worst than reaching for another controller only to find out that it also needs charging.If you need a way to charge 2 sets of controllers quickly and have them ready to go when you need them, this is a must. I like the lights that let you know when they are done. That takes the guess work out of which ones to pick up.

This was a lovely little charging stand to ensure all my joycons stayed charge especially when i like to use a aftermarket controller that the whole switch slides into a lot for solo play. This little device ensured that my joycons were charged for when my friends or family came over to hang out and we would want to play smash bros or something.
